NEW YORK (HedgeWorld.com) - Movie financing hedge fund Barbarian
Films LLC announced more film investments as its first feature,
"Powder Blue," enters the postproduction phase ahead of a release
date later this year.
Beyond "Powder Blue," Barbarian will invest in "Spread," a
romantic comedy starring Ashton Kutcher and Jennifer Jason Leigh
that begins filming next week, and "Leaves of Grass," which features
Edward Norton and will begin filming in Louisiana in late March.
Barbarian plans to announce additional film investments in April,
according to Aaron Kaufman, managing partner of New York-based
Partisan Media Group LLC, which manages the Barbarian fund.
