Speed sells.
That's the take on the business of conventions at McCormick Place,
which has built the most advanced infrastructure available at any
convention center in the world to help attract and serve exhibitors
with a need for speed.
"People have a limited time at a show to put the best face for
their potential clients," said Ellen Barry, chief information officer
of the Metropolitan Pier and Exhibition Authority, which runs
McCormick Place, the nearby Hyatt Hotel and Conference Center and
Navy Pier. "They want to show off their Web sites and their services.
We can help them do it. No one can provide more bandwidth than we
can."
