The killing of a wild boar in the playing field of a primary
school by a Forestry Commission ranger not long ago polarised the
local community.
Initially, pupils and teachers at Ruardean Primary School in the
Forest of Dean thrilled at the sight of a wild animal feasting on
windfall apples and snoozing on the edge of its nature area.
But five days after the young adult male's first appearance in
