Tae-kwon-do competitors from all over the South West of England
descended on Paignton for the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great
Britain (TAGB) Southern Championships, which took place at Torbay
Leisure Centre.
Nearly 1,000 competitors and spectators came to Torbay to witness
a spectacular display of martial arts action, which involved
traditional patterns, sparring drills and, for black belts, a
category called 'destruction'.
Andy Saunders, the second dan instructor for TAGB Tae Kwon-Do
Torbay, said: "All of the local TAGB schools gave great support to
the event, with many Torbay students competing and walking away with
medals.
