1Portrait of the Mag Mile
Today through Sunday, North Michigan Avenue is one big outdoor art
gallery, courtesy of the Magnificent Mile Art Festival. More than 200
artists from around the country will showcase their work, including
life-size sculptures, photography, jewelry, pottery, paintings and
ceramics, along the avenue just north of the river. Music and a food
court will also be on-site. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and
Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Free. Information:
