Rock criticism is at its best when it's a spirited discourse
between people who care passionately about the music. To that end,
this column regularly prints feedback from its readers about our
recent music coverage. Here is a sampling from the mailbag:
Jim: [Regarding the cancellation of Lollapalooza, June 23:] No
surprise the '80s/'90s crap bands can't draw. I love it! Now Rush had
a hell of a crowd and put on a great show. Maybe talent is the
difference. The Tweeter Center would help itself by adding some
bathrooms -- clean bathrooms! I know it's nice for some to go to the
bathroom in a cow trough, but I am 40-plus, and that's getting old.

Jim: I paid tons of money at the Tweeter ...
