Article: Hamden Hopefuls; Green Dragons look to avoid repeat of 2006 scenario, grab second win

The Hamden football team had every reason to celebrate after earning a surprising 19-14 victory over favored Cheshire in the season opener for both teams last Friday.

The victory was considered an upset on paper as Cheshire returned several skill players from last year's team that went 6-4 and shared the Southern Connecticut Conference Division I East title with West Haven.
