Scottish food initiatives such as Taste of Grampian were hailed
last night by Richard Lochhead, the cabinet secretary for rural
affairs and the environment.
He was speaking at a Scottish Council for Development and
Industry influencers' dinner at the Norwood Hall Hotel, in
Aberdeen.
Mr Lochhead said: "We want the freshest, finest future for
Scottish food.
"Supporting food production and manufacturing in Scotland is in
our national interest. A healthy future for the industry
contributes to sustainable economic growth in Scotland. There are
some excellent food initiatives happening across Scotland such as
Taste of Grampian.
