An online pilot scheme to improve the health of deaf people was
launched yesterday.
The initiative by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde features 30 video
clips which are available on its website.
The clips use British Sign Language to give health information to
deaf and hard of hearing people.
They offer information on a range of topics, including how to
find a GP and how to make a complaint.
It is hoped the video technology will make it easier for the
1,000 deaf and hearing-impaired people in the Greater Glasgow and
Clyde area.
