STORIES of illegal road races for drivers with more bhp than
sense are legendary.
Night-time dashes from Charing Cross along the M4 to the Severn
Bridge. Illicit laps of the M25.
But today's event is closer to home, and a little more dangerous.
I'm behind the wheel of Nissan's 192mph, 480bhp GTR. It's the first
in the country and doesn't officially go on sale until next year.
Despite its legendary handling I'm nervous. It's a tight circuit and
it's going to take in some of London's best-known landmarks.
There's no room for error in this Pounds 60,000 car that does 0-
