I'm not quite sure how to write a 'well note': "Lord Nelson is
well enough to play football as he still has both legs but, with
only one arm and one eye, he might not be able to play in goal."
The desire to change the sick note system comes around as
regularly as repeats of Dad's Army on satellite TV.
Along with legends of hidden pirate gold in the Caribbean, all
Governments seem to believe there is a treasure chest of gold
waiting to be unlocked if only all the wasters on the sick could be
forced back to work.
Of course there are people fiddling the sick note system; people
who claim incapacity benefit when they could work.
There are also people fiddling their income tax and VAT returns, ...
