Three Milwaukee Area Technical College Board members whose terms
end this summer will face competition from nine other applicants,
including aldermen from Milwaukee and Oak Creek, at this month's
appointment committee meeting.
MATC Board members Lauren Baker, Jeannette Bell and Pedro Colon
are all seeking additional three-year terms.
Board members at MATC are appointed by committee, not elected.
State law and MATC's own policies require the panel to represent
diversity in the types of jobs they hold, their ethnicity and
gender, and where they live in the district.
