Article: Elm City main ingredient for event

NEW HAVEN -- The city has landed another large regional tourism event, winning its bid to play host to the New England Culinary Symposium in April, tourism officials announced. The two-day event, scheduled for April 28 and 29, is expected to bring about 200 participants to New Haven to discuss how "culinary tourism" can impact the social and economic development of cities, said Ginny Kozlowski, president of the Greater New Haven Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The bureau is holding the event in partnership with Market New Haven Inc. and the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, where the symposium
