Ownership of Juneau Village, one of the city's largest and most
recognizable apartment complexes, is about to change, but exactly
how remains uncertain.
It could be sold at a public auction, or one of the three
families that now jointly own it could buy it.
"At this point everyone prefers that it be sold," said John
Kirtley, a lawyer representing one of the families. "One thing for
certain is that there will be a change in the ownership structure."
Daniel Katz, one of the owners of the downtown buildings, has
filed a series of lawsuits in Milwaukee County Circuit Court seeking
the sale of Juneau Village, an adjacent shopping center, the Juneau
Village Garden Apartments and another apartment ...
