Article: Juneau Village owners want buildings sold

Ownership of Juneau Village, one of the city's largest and most recognizable apartment complexes, is about to change, but exactly how remains uncertain.

It could be sold at a public auction, or one of the three families that now jointly own it could buy it.

"At this point everyone prefers that it be sold," said John Kirtley, a lawyer representing one of the families. "One thing for certain is that there will be a change in the ownership structure."

Daniel Katz, one of the owners of the downtown buildings, has filed a series of lawsuits in Milwaukee County Circuit Court seeking the sale of Juneau Village, an adjacent shopping center, the Juneau Village Garden Apartments and another apartment ...
