NEW HAVEN -- Inside every good fly fisherman, there's a
crackerjack field biologist waiting to hatch. Certainly, that's the
premise behind a major exhibit at the Yale Peabody Museum of Natural
History. "Seeing Wonders: The Nature of Fly Fishing," combines the
Peabody's natural history resources with artifacts from the American
Museum of Fly Fishing in Manchester, Vt.
"It's a fantastic peek into fishing culture. People associate fly
fishing with a closeness to nature," says Raymond Pupedis, the
Peabody's senior collections manager in entomology and a devoted fly
fisherman.
