The last thing Tim Jankovich will want to talk about this week is
the NCAA Tournament. Illinois State's first-year basketball coach
wants his team to keep the blinders on and worry only about the
Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
That philosophy is part of the "one game - or in this case,
tournament - at a time" thinking all coaches preach, as if you could
play two games or tourneys at a time.
No problem, Coach. The rest of us are more than happy to discuss
ISU's chances for its first NCAA tourney appearance in 10 years. So
here goes one reporter's educated guess:
If the Redbirds win their Valley tourney quarterfinal game Friday
