As The Humberside Police Lifestyle project prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary, more than 135,000 young people can say "done that, got the T-shirt".

The scheme was launched in the summer of 1989 to engage children in worthwhile activities during their school holidays.

Over the years, more than 135,000 community-spirited youngsters have donned official Lifestyle team T-shirts and spent almost two million hours working on a variety of projects.

Now, former winners of Lifestyle are being tracked down as part of the celebrations.

From improving their environment to helping others, Lifestyle teams made a difference in their communities.
