PASADENA - A community meeting scheduled Saturday to seek public
input on the search for a new city manager is being lauded as proof
that Cynthia Kurtz's replacement is far from a foregone conclusion.
The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. in the City Hall council
chambers, 100 N. Garfield Ave. Those who cannot make the meeting can
submit their comments on the city's Web page at
www.cityofpasadena.net.
Police Chief Bernard Melekian has been holding the reins as
interim city manager since Kurtz's retirement in January, after
nearly 10 years on the job. Melekian has since shown an interest in
taking over the position permanently.
