A CHARITY that provides a lifechanging service for profoundly
deaf people has launched a branch in the North-East.The Tees Valley
branch of Hearing Dogs for Deaf People aims to raise [pounds]5,000
to train a dog for someone with hearing difficulties, as well as
increase awareness of the charity and problems faced by deaf
people.The branch, which has nine members, is looking for people to
join.Stephen Grimston, chairman of the branch, has suffered from
progressive deafness since childhood and said his dog, Holly, which
