France urges negotiated solution on Iranian nuclear issue

PARIS, March 4 (Xinhua) -- France has reaffirmed its hope for anegotiated solution on the Iranian nuclear issue, after the adoption of the third resolution on sanctions by the United Nations (UN) Security Council, according to reports.

"By refusing consistently to implement measures demanded by theInternational Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and by the UN Security Council in order to re-establish trust, Iran did not leave the international community with any other choice but the adoption of new sanctions," French foreign ministry said in a statement Monday.
