Frightened residents ran for their lives when a local village was
terrorised by a giant spider - but fear not, it was all in the name
of cinema.
The enormous arachnid caused mayhem on Main Street and two people
were seriously hurt in a road accident before the director shouted
'cut!' and the film crew at Babbacombe Model Village, sat down for
a well-earned tea break.
The all-action drama was part of a new media project run by Bay
area community arts company Means of Production, working alongside
trainee film makers from the Community Equality Disability Action
Centre in Exeter.
The crew of five spent the day at the Model Village in Torquay
