Article: Severna Park: St. Martin's-in-the-Field Church installs new $400,000 pipe organ

As an enormous 18-wheeler pulled into the driveway at St. Martin's-in-the-Field Episcopal Church on Monday, three dozen members of the congregation greeted it with cheers and shouts of welcome.

The truck carried a new $400,000 pipe organ built for the church by the Schantz Organ Co. in Orrville, Ohio, for the past five months.

"Getting this pipe organ is a dream come true for our church," said Vee Mitchell, St. Martin's junior warden, who oversees the building, grounds and infrastructure of the church.
