EVEr since a colleague chained (yes, chained!) his office chair
to his desk to prevent workmates using it, I always suspected there
were many strange causes of stress at the office.
Now we have official confirmation.
Never mind caring for clients, keeping on top of innovation,
managing the budget and meeting deadlines, there are far more
important issues - like a comfy chair and a parking space, according
to QoWL Ltd, a research unit.
There are few issues more emotive than these two office time-
bombs. Simply hint that parking spaces are to be withdrawn and the
boss risks a mutiny. Give an employee a superior chair and the other
workers will revolt.
This reminds me of those days when ...
