Nintendo Wii games consoles could be used as part of physiotherapy treatment for patients in North Lincolnshire.

The interactive consoles, which involve a user acting out all the physical movements involved in sports such as tennis, golf and boxing, may be used to help bring back flexibility.

Following in the footsteps of the consoles being used for burns victims in south east England, Lisa Webster, spokeswoman for Scunthorpe General Hospital, said: "We could in the future explore the possibilities of consoles being donated or loaned to the hospital so we can better understand if there is a value for patients."
