ADVERTISING AIR TRAVEL
The opening of Heathrow's Terminal 5 has been controversial but
it has adland in a state of breathless anticipation. Jane Bainbridge
reports
When BAA opens the doors to a new Terminal 5 finally at Heathrow
next week, not only will the air-travelling public have a new
transport hub in London, but the advertising world will get to see
what all the promise of "digital outdoor" really does amount to.
On 27 March more than 200 digital screens will be switched on,
making Terminal 5 the most advanced airport advertising-medium in
the world. This unique advertising space - which includes a quarter-
