ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Dayton sophomore guard Marcus Johnson sees
the attention opponents give teammate Brian Roberts and considers it
an insult.
Xavier attacked Roberts with two defenders whenever he neared the
basket, and Johnson believes UD's supporting cast is worthy of more
respect.
"Everybody talks about Brian Roberts, but we have other guys on
this team who are good players, too," he said.
Johnson proved he fits that description, scoring a career-high 26
points, but the Flyers couldn't find enough capable players
elsewhere to avoid a 74-65 loss to Xavier in the Atlantic 10
quarterfinals Thursday, March 13.
The 6-foot-3 leaper went 5-for-8 from the field and 13-for-16
