St Mark's The Year 10/11 football team has made a blistering
start to the season with three straight wins.
Their campaign began with a 1-0 win over Culverhay in difficult
conditions, thanks to a neat pass from Callum Elms which set up Alex
Trott for the only goal of the game midway through the first half.
Sam Pope and Kye Paradise both made surging runs through the
Culverhay defence but they missed chances to make the score 2-0.
And goalkeeper Josh Wright then protected St Mark's lead with a
fine second-half penalty save.
St Mark's first home game of the season produced a 1-0 win over
Broadlands School at the end of a very physical encounter.
