Anaheim, Calif. -- Joe Crawford and Ramel Bradley went 2 on 5
against the Marquette Golden Eagles on Thursday, and very nearly
pulled out a Kentucky victory in the process.
Without injured big man Patrick Patterson and shooter Jodie
Meeks, and with precious little help elsewhere, the Wildcats' senior
guards had little choice but to shoulder the offensive load in their
first-round matchup with MU at the Honda Center.
Crawford was almost unguardable, scoring 35 points on 13-for-22
shooting despite being checked for much of the afternoon by lockdown
Golden Eagles defender Jerel McNeal. Bradley added 19 points on 6-
for-15 shooting.
