They braved the elements to turn out to the open-air service in St James' Square at 11.30am.

The service was led by the Bishop of Grimsby, the Rt Rev David Rossdale, Canon Michael Hunter and Father David Sudron and included hymns including Were You There When They Crucified My Lord, led by The Salvation Army band.
