Article: Hawker hunter fighter returns to Lincolnshire

Military aircraft enthusiasts have welcomed the arrival of a Hawker Hunter fighter in Lincolnshire.

The Cold War jet, XE624, has gone on display at the former RAF Metheringham and is set to be the attraction of the year.

Peter Scoley, who owns the base, said it would be a popular feature.

"The Hawker Hunter should generate a lot of interest, because it is a piece of aviation history, and a strong part of Britain's heritage," he said.

"It is the first time we've had one of these on display and it really is an impressive site.
