Article: RIDING INTO THE SUNSET IN MY TRUSTY PICKUP TRUCK

Knock on wood, I have 165,000 miles on my pickup truck, and she still runs like a top. Nevertheless, when my wife found a greasy rubber doohickey lying in the road up to the house, I began to wonder: Is this the beginning of the end? Is my trusty ol' pickup truck beginning to come apart?

Except for the occasional delivery truck, my wife and I are the only ones who drive that particular stretch of road between the mailbox and the house. It seems obvious, then, that the rubber doohickey came from either her vehicle or mine. And since my pickup truck is the older of the two, it's probably mine.

And here I thought things had been going so well between my pickup truck and me.
