Sandy Simon advertises her do-it-yourself pottery studio in
Lawrenceville as a "great place for a date" though personally, her
favorite customers are the children who take part in the after-
school programs she hosts at Kiln-N-Time.
"That is so rewarding. Children in the community who might not
get an opportunity to come in here on a regular basis can
participate in the student reward program" and make and paint their
own craft items, Simon said. The program for high-achieving
elementary and middle school students recently was expanded to
include those struggling in classes.
