But only after the conflict finished did the Women's Land Army receive the recognition it deserved.

And now an exhibition has opened at Skidby Mill celebrating the vital work of the army's East Riding workers. The display has been compiled by volunteers from the East Riding Rural Life project and features photographs and oral accounts of the experiences of the land girls during the war.
