Former Steelers wide receiver Cedrick Wilson was ordered Friday
to undergo an eight-week anger management program by a district
judge who is considering charges stemming from an assault on his
former girlfriend.
At the end of the program, Hampton District Judge Regis Welsh Jr.
could dismiss or reduce charges of harassment, simple assault and
disorderly conduct or hold Wilson for trial.
"No promises have been made, but it is our hope that he (Welsh)
will consider maybe some type of dismissal or reduction," said
Wilson's attorney, Robert Del Greco Jr.
Welsh agreed to allow Wilson, 29, to attend an anger management
program in Arizona, where he continues physical training with the
