Borders sale won't affect St. Charles Avenue site
Borders won't close the book on plans to open a store on St.
Charles Avenue even if company operations are sold, according to the
Ann Arbor, Mich., bookseller.
"We are moving forward and proceeding with construction" on the
24,000-square-foot New Orleans store at the former Bultman Funeral
Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave., spokeswoman Kolleen O'Meara said. "We
are targeting an early October opening."
