The owner of a Westcountry donkey sanctuary launched a string of
sexual attacks on young girls working for him, a court was told
yesterday.
Alan Masters, 71, denies 29 counts of sexual offences committed
over a 15-year period.
The allegations came to light after the husband of one of the
victims tried to blackmail Masters into handing over pounds15,000.
Jonathan Barnes, prosecuting, told the jury at Truro Crown Court
that Masters, former owner of the Tamar Valley Donkey Sanctuary near
Callington, Cornwall, who now lives in Cornwood, Ivybridge, Devon,
abused a total of eight young girls.
