When former Pennsylvania first lady Michele Ridge spoke of
Douglas Wood's energy and business acumen, she was describing a man
who helped enhance the endowment and building programs of Seton Hill
University in Greensburg.
"When you worked with Doug, you sensed immediately his energy and
his acuity. He helped Seton Hill on many levels," said Ridge, chair
of the university's board of trustees.
Douglas J. Wood of Greensburg, board chairman and CEO of GPS
Industries, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, died from a fall
on Sunday, March 30, 2008. He was 54.
Seton Hill President JoAnne Boyle recalled Mr. Wood's guidance
