LOS ANGELES COUNTY. Job-hunt helpers get $5.1million. LOS ANGELES. LOS ANGELES COUNTY. Job-hunt helpers get $5.1 million Los Angeles County programsthat provide job preparation and training for residents whohave a hard time obtaining employment will get $5.1 million in grants, Gov. Gray Davis said Monday.

The money alsowill finance training for people already employed to help them gain opportunities for advancement.

"These grants go to agencies that can most effectively use the funds, and giveCalifornians the necessary training they need to become productive citizens once again," Davis said.
