Thousands spent in El Segundo development clash

A "battleof the corporate titans" over a 46-acre development site in El Segundo is generating huge campaign expenditures with more then a month still left before the voters go to the polls.

Financial documents reveal more than $500,000 has been spent combined by a developer that wants to build the El Segundo Corporate Campus project and another that wants to halt it.

El Segundo voters will go to the polls June 18 to determine the fate of the proposed project at Mariposa Avenue and Nash Street, which would be one of the South Bay's largest commercial developments.
