Task force is asked to coordinate downtown, waterfront plans

SAN PEDRO: Ten-member group will hold first meeting in July. Its final report is due by end of year.

With the waterfront promenade approved and the pace picking up in local redevelopment plans, a newly appointed task forceis being asked to connect all the pieces for an overall revitalization plan.

Appointed by Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn, the 10- member Downtown WaterfrontTask Force will be in charge of coordinating plans for the community's revamped waterfront with the historic downtown district.
