GLOBAL CROSSING. Telecom company reports interest. AIRBUS . GLOBAL CROSSING. Telecom company reports interest GlobalCrossing said Tuesday it had received competing bids from several parties, despite a crisis of confidence in the telecommunications industry.

The Bermuda-based firm, which in January filed the largest telecom bankruptcy case in U.S. history, said at least three groups have bid for the entire company or pieces of its 100,000-mile fiber optic network that connects 200 cities worldwide.
