Frozen computer could be the motherboard of all problems
Question: I plugged in the telephone by mistake to connect my
internal dial-up modem to the Internet while the machine was turned
on. My other computer was turned off, which has a DSL connection. The
cursor and the whole machine froze. I could not even turn it off by
hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del. I turned it off manually. I was expecting to
see the usual system check DOS to come up as it does at times like
this. Well, nothing happened. I tried using floppy startup disks,
emergency reboot disks, a blank floppy, the Win98 CD, a restore disk,
and the F8 and Ctrl keys. None of the MS Win98 startup solutions
worked. I don't even know that ...
