STEPHEN LANDES and Richard Hoffman, two prominent Chicago
attorneys who won an unprecedented $156 million award on behalf of
the parents of a 17-year-old American teenager gunned down by Hamas
terrorists in Israel, will be honored Sunday at a dinner sponsored by
the American Friends of the Hebrew University at the Hyatt Regency.
Landes and Hoffman, with the Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon law
firm, represented Stanley and Joyce Boim in suing U.S.-based Islamic
groups that give financial aid to terrorist overseas. Last December,
a jury found the Quranic Literacy Institute of Oak Lawn and other
groups liable for supplying funds to Hamas terrorists and awarded the
Boim's damages for their son, ...
