Office building damaged in fire
UPLAND - More than 30 firefighters from four departments
converged on an extermination company after a fire erupted in the
office section of its building.
Fire dispatchers received a call about a fire at Antimite Termite
and Pest Control at 4:38 p.m., an Ontario fire dispatcher said. The
business is at 142 N. Sixth Ave.
When firefighters arrived at the business, they found heavy smoke
and fire showing from the roof.
Firefighters from Upland, Montclair, Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga
also arrived. There were no injuries reported, the dispatcher said.
The building was heavily damaged, and the cause was under
investigation.
