Need a brew and a bite or something a little more filling?
John Harvard's Brew House might fill the bill.
The strip mall along Business Route 22 in Monroeville might seem
less than promising, but don't let that keep you away.
Part of a small chain of microbrew pubs born in Cambridge, Mass.,
John Harvard's features the requisite brew-pub picture windows
overlooking the brewery's tanks, as well the dark-wood, faux-
antique decor that hundreds of restaurants have cloned over the past
three decades. But there's a subtle wit at work that almost
ridicules the cliche.
Take a close look at those "antique" stained-glass windows in the
dining room. The figures aren't saints from some long-gone chapel, ...
