Italy to give 790,000 USD to ultra-poor women in Bangladesh

DHAKA, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Italy has decided to give 500,000 euro (some 790,000 U.S. dollars) as a grant for enhancing food consumption and livelihoods to the ultra-poor women in Bangladesh, Italian Ambassador to Bangladesh said here on Wednesday.

This financial support would be given through World Food Program (WFP) under a program "Enhance Food Consumption and Livelihoods of Ultra Poor Women - Vulnerable Group Development in Bangladesh."
