LONDON -- Strawberry Fields is not forever, after all.

The Liverpool children's home that inspired the Beatles' hit song is to close, officials said Wednesday.

The psychedelic single "Strawberry Fields Forever" was released in February 1967 with "Penny Lane" on the reverse side and quickly made it to No. 2 in the British charts.
