MESA, Ariz. -- Carlos Zambrano might be the answer to the Cubs'
prayers. Not many teams could decide to delay the Opening Day start
of a pitcher as highly regarded as Kerry Wood and replace him with a
23-year-old who has been labeled a possible 20-game winner this
season.
Asked Thursday if he felt unsettled about not being able to start
Wood or Mark Prior in the season-opening series against the Arizona
Diamondbacks, manager Dusty Baker carved a big Z" in his reply to
