Article: El Segundo, Mira Costa eye big prize

They're two different teams in different divisions, but Mira Costa and El Segundo are on a similar path in their quest for a CIF boys water polo championship. Each team is one win away from claiming the title in their respective divisions.

After moving from Division III to Division IV, Mira Costa (28-3) has reached the finals for the first time since winning it all in 2002. The Mustangs will play Righetti (26-5) today at the Belmont Plaza Pool in Long Beach at 6 p.m.

"It feels really good," Mira Costa co-captain Daley Meistrell said. "The last three years we couldn't get past the semifinals, so it feels really good."
