Article: Connecticut extends home winning streak

Freshman Gavin Edwards scored 16 points as No. 18 Connecticut beat Albany, 86-55, Sunday, extending the Huskies' home winning streak to 24 games.

This meeting was far different from last year's in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, when Connecticut overcame a 12-point deficit in the final 11 minutes to win, 72-59.

Thirteen Huskies played against the Great Danes (2-2), and six scored in double figures.

Marcus Johnson (Westchester High) had 14 points, 11 in the first half.
